Different Perspective

You know, it's always said that perspective is everything and the older I get the more I truely believe that. Whether it's the perspective of time, as in looking to the past, or just changing the body's position in relation to the landscape, you can't argue that point. Oh, I guess you could if you are hard headed like me. You can argue about anything but the perspective of time will bring you back to reality in most cases.. unless, of course, you were correct to begin with.

Anyway, walking the rimrock between Cady Spring and the bridges below it, you can get some pretty cool views so I had to take some pictures, of course. The difference in perspective makes it all the more beautiful up there and it was such a nice sunny day that ya just had to love it. I know I did.

Winter sucks!

Ok, maybe winter doesn't exactly suck but it sure cuts down my outdoor time. I haven't been out for a walk or bike ride in a while now. It rained a couple of days and that was a nice change from the dry month of January. When I was keeping precipitation records out where I used to work at Laufman, I graphed the 30 year average and the 45 year average. Clearly January was the wettest month, historically. Every few years we get one of these kinds of winters though, so you can't say it's global warming that's causing it.

I have no pictures to post today. Well, I guess I could post a picture of one of the computer components I'll be buying soon. My old computer has been a work horse but it's old in computer years so with the new Vista operating system already released it's time for me to build a new one. The trick is to find the sweet spot relative to price and state of the art. I already have made some decisions on components so I guess I should start ordering the stuff and get on with it.. especially before the weather starts getting nice and I start getting out on a regular basis. OK, winter does suck but ya still gotta love it!
